Saratoga, Wyoming–(Studentofthegun.com)- Student of the Gun media enterprises has moved to Wyoming. The entire SOTG crew relocated to Saratoga, Wyoming the first week of April 2017. All SOTG Radio and Television material will be produced from their new headquarters nestled in the Rocky Mountains.
“It was time for a change and Wyoming is the true definition of ‘free America’,” said Paul Markel, host and founder of SOTG. Markel continued, “The entire crew made the difficult trip from the gulf coast up into the still snow-covered mountains. The people of Saratoga have been most friendly and welcoming. We are looking forward to becoming a part of this wonderful community.”
Fans of Student of the Gun can look forward to the same professionally produced audio and video material, as well as the additional benefit of the breathtaking western mountain backdrop.
Student of the Gun University will host core classes, including Beyond the Bandaid, Ballistic Problem Solving, and Force Options. Additionally, they are partnering with a local lodge and outfitter service to offer long range rifle courses and educational retreats.

Each week Student of the Gun Radio will introduce our listeners to all manner of firearms related topics be they sport, recreation, or personal defense.
Unlike the television format, through the magic of digital radio, we will have the opportunity to explore topics more deeply rather than just give them a quick glance.
Discussions will address both that which is current news in the firearms world as well as traditions and foundational principles.
ABOUT THE HOST
Paul G. Markel has worn many hats during his lifetime. He has been a U.S. Marine, Police Officer, Professional Bodyguard, and Small Arms and Tactics Instructor.
Mr. Markel has been writing professionally for law enforcement and firearms periodicals for more than two decades, with hundreds of articles in print and several #1 Amazon Bestselling books.
Paul is a regular guest on nationally syndicated radio talk shows and subject matter expert in firearms training and use of force.
Mr. Markel has been teaching safe and effective firearms handling to students young and old for decades and has worked actively with the 4-H Shooting Sports program.
Paul holds numerous instructor certifications in multiple disciplines and a Bachelor’s degree in conflict resolution; nonetheless, he is and will remain a dedicated Student of the Gun.

Not just another pretty face, Jarrad Markel has experience and training beyond his years. Jarrad has been training to be a fighter since elementary school when he first learned the art of collegiate wrestling.
Now skilled in Jujitsu, Judo, Muay Thai, Sambo, the Way of the Fighting Pistol and Fighting Rifle, Jarrad is a well-rounded, tactical athlete with several professional MMA & Boxing fights under his belt.
More than a brute, Jarrad has brains as well. He produces Student of the Gun TV & Radio and is the President of Think On! Productions, creating a wide variety of video & audio material.
