Ep. 732 – What is an Armed Citizen?

What exactly makes a person an armed citizen? Does owning a firearm make a man or woman an armed citizen? Professor Paul will clear the air and explain exactly the purpose of arms when we consider liberty.

Our SWAT Fuel Warrior of the Week is going to be in bear country and has a question about defensive handguns. What is the minimum caliber or load to carry where aggressive bears are a threat? You might be surprised.

Also, during our weekly Quiet Time Moment from SilencerShop.com, the Professor has a piece of recommended reading for you. What was going on in the Colonies of America prior to the Revolution? What was the mindset of the people? Be sure to listen louder.

SOTG 733 - History of Arms Control

Ep. 733 – History of Arms Control

Is arms control a new idea? Do we need arms control due to the existence of the AR-15? To quote some people, gun control began with the invention of the AR. Once more, Professor Paul will dispel the rumors and lies surrounding arms control.

During our Brownell’s Bullet Points we’ll take the time to consider gas control and what that means for riflemen. Times have changed. We don’t need to settle for 40-year-old technology when it comes to controlling the gas from our muzzle.

Also, for our SOTG Homeroom from Crossbreed Holsters, Professor Paul and Jarrad discuss alternatives to carrying a firearm. We consider “allowed” versus “able” as well as where you can go to get detailed information about alternatives to a gun.

Ep. 733 Pt. 2 – Army to Buy New Assault Rifle & Dropping Guns Can be Good

The U.S. Army confirmed their plans to spend millions on a new assault rifle (their term). One might be left to wonder how spending more money on new hardware is going to fix the problem of weak recruits who don’t have the strength to throw a grenade. Perhaps Army’s new assault rifle will throw the grenade for them.

We don’t plan to drop our guns, but sometimes dropping your gun can be a good thing. There are two primary reasons to drop a gun and let it fall. We a real-world example of what can happen to a good guy when they don’t drop a gun, even after the police command it.

Fear not, we have motivational music for you. As a matter of fact, Paul is going to take you on a trip back in time with some classic rock. Listen louder.

Ep. 733 Pt. 3 – It’s Fun to be a Bully (Until Someone Fights Back)

Despite words to the contrary, the anti-gun movement love to bully their opponents. Leftist groups that claim to want to “end violence” act as though it is okay to bully others if it furthers their cause. How do you defeat a bully? Paul has some serious advice for you.

As corporate, big box stores cave to the anti-gun ninnies of America, we have a suggestion for you. Start supporting your local gun shop. Rather than worry about some corporate policy, consider helping the small business owner in your area.

Guess whose chili recipe won an award?  You might have guessed it. We have banter from the boys and feelgood motivational music.  Don’t miss a minute of the Bonus Hour.
